In the days of growing prejudice and racism it is useful to give a thought to the reasons behind the eattitudes, their functions and furthermore to the ways attitudes are formulated and reproduced. In this article, I concentrate on the mass media point of view, and especially the way television text relates to the very basis of racist attitudes.
