Abstrakti

The Finnish community within Australia is one which receives little recognition in comparison to other ethnic groups, probably due to its relatively small size. Yet, it is a little known fact that after Sweden, America and Canada the next most popular destination for Finnish emigrants was Australia. Why did they go to Australia? What were their motives?
