Abstrakti

This article draws on the conceptual and methodological framework developed in the CIVEX project (2021–2024) to discuss civic engagement from a migratory later‑life perspective. By highlighting the multidimensional, multidetermined, and dynamic nature
of civic engagement, this article shows how a life‑course and diversity‑sensitive approach can broaden the understanding of engagement in later life. The discussion illustrates why recognizing older migrants’ varied experiences and trajectories is essential for developing more inclusive perspectives on civic engagement.
